What types of packing sponges are there?

Packing sponge refers to the sponge pressed into different shapes according to the purpose in production and processing, so as to make a difference between the traditional square foam. 1. Slow rebound sponge, also known as high bearing sponge or memory sponge. The material has good cushioning and absorbing impact force and good protection, good shock absorption and temperature resistance, and the density, hardness and rebound time can be adjusted as needed. It is widely used in the packaging of household and electronic equipment. Color (gray, white, yellow, etc.) and density (35-80). 2. Rubber wool. It is one of the packaging sponges. Its main material is foamed from latex raw materials. It has rubber characteristics, good elasticity, good resilience and will not deform, but it is expensive, which is 3-4 times higher than PU packing sponge.

3. Shaped PU packing foam. This material is made of polyurethane, mixed with foaming agent and other additives, pressing agent into a simple mold and heated to press out sponges of different shapes. It is suitable for swivel chair sofa cushion and back cotton, and a small amount of armrest is also made of shaped cotton. At present, 55# - 60# material density is adopted, and its elasticity meets relevant standards. The elastic hardness of sponge can be adjusted according to different parts of the product. Generally, the seat cotton has higher hardness and higher density, followed by the back cotton, and the sponge is softer.

4. Foamed cotton. This material is foamed with polyether, like foamed bread. It can be foamed by mechanical equipment or manually surrounded by wood. The foamed cotton is like a square bread. After slicing process with a slicer, the thickness can be cut according to different requirements, and the softness and hardness of the foamed cotton can also be adjusted.
